Getting the most from your candle
-
The first time you burn your candle, please make sure you burn it until the wax melts to the edges of the container (this can take up to 3 hours). When you first light your candle, try to give it at least three hours of burn time.
-
Burning a candle in a draughty area can cause uneven burning, a smoky flame and cause your candle to burn faster.
-
Always trim the wick after each burn to about 5mm as this will make your candle last longer.
-
Keep all lit candles out of the reach of children and pets.
-
Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire, such as furniture, curtains, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Don’t burn a candle for more than 4 hours as the glassware can get hot!
-
Ensure the candle is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
-
Do not burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, it’s advised to discontinue burning a candle when 1 cm wax remains in a container.
